NEW YORK, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- American Airlines on Thursday posted a smaller-than-expected loss for the third quarter of 2025, buoyed by record revenue despite headwinds from changing travel trends and rising costs.
The airline reported third-quarter revenue of 13.7 billion U.S. dollars and a net loss of 114 million dollars, or 17 cents per diluted share.
Looking ahead, the company expects fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share to range between 45 cents and 75 cents, and between 65 cents and 95 cents for the full year. The carrier also projects full-year free cash flow to exceed 1 billion dollars.
"Looking forward, I'm confident that continued investments in our network, customer experience and loyalty program will position us well to drive revenue growth and shareholder value in 2026 and beyond," said CEO Robert Isom. ■
